How It Works?

Ultrasound encompasses sound waves beyond the upper audible threshold of human hearing (20 kHz). At designated frequencies, these waves hold the capacity to manage algae growth. SwanCav operates on the mechanism of very low power variable frequency ultrasonic wave that prevents the growth for both algae and microorganisms. The continuous mild vibration generated by the ultrasound system reduces the colonies of algae thereby interferes with their reproductive system and prevents the deposit of biofilm on the surface.

Algae cells float in the water column in a vertical movement while accessing the sunlight from surface during day time and acquiring the nutrients from the bottom at night. With a varying frequency range as emitted from the submerged transducers, the ultrasound restrict their vertical movement by resonating with their frequency of vibration and cause damage to their reproductive mechanism without cell breakage.

Algae rise to the water surface for photosynthesis to support growth and move down to the bottom of the water column to access nutrients.

Ultrasonic waves prevent algae from accessing sunlight and nutrients, causing it to sink to the bottom and die without releasing toxins

Benefits of Ultrasonic Algae Treatment

The ultrasonic frequency range used in our system is safe for fish, plants, and other aquatic life because it specifically targets algae cells without affecting other organisms. The sound frequencies used are harmless to fish and plants, focusing solely on disrupting algae growth. This method maintains a balanced ecosystem while effectively controlling algae without chemicals.

Swancav prevents toxic algal blooms by using its typical frequency range of ultrasonic waves to disrupt algae growth, stopping it from reaching the water surface where it could block sunlight and multiply rapidly. This chemical-free solution targets algae specifically, reducing the risk of harmful blooms and promoting a healthier aquatic ecosystem without affecting other organisms.

By disrupting algae growth naturally, Swancav reduces or eliminates the reliance on costly algaecides, minimizing long-term maintenance expenses and providing an eco-friendly alternative for water quality management in various aquatic environments.

Swancav enhances the efficiency of filters and pipes by reducing algae buildup, which often clogs filtration systems. By maintaining clearer water flow, it prevents blockages and minimizes wear on equipment. This results in reduced maintenance costs, improved system longevity, and more effective water treatment operations.

Swancav is engineered for long-term efficiency, utilizing ultrasonic technology to prevent algae growth without chemicals. Its durable construction and low-maintenance design ensure reliable performance over extended periods. By continuously optimizing water flow and reducing clogging, Swancav delivers consistent, cost-effective solutions for algae control in diverse environments.

Frequently Asked Questions

Recent studies carried out with the collaboration of IIT and Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation have concluded that the SwanCav Reactor is safe for fish, plants, zooplankton, and other aquatic organisms.

While reducing nutrients is crucial, it is challenging to achieve, especially in the long run. Most nutrient management approaches are expensive and involve frequent applications, which may have unforeseen effects on the aquatic ecosystem. Additionally, the severity and duration of algal blooms are influenced not just by nutrient levels but also by environmental factors like climate change, weather patterns, and ecosystem imbalances.

Eco-Friendly: Controls algae without harmful chemicals, preserving aquatic ecosystems.
Selective Targeting: Ultrasound frequencies impact only algae, sparing other organisms.
Cost-Effective: Higher initial setup but lower long-term maintenance compared to chemical use.
Safe Operation: Easy to handle with no human health risks, unlike some chemicals.
Continuous Control: Operates 24/7, offering stable algae management.
Minimizes Secondary Effects: Gradual algae reduction avoids oxygen depletion, preventing harm to fish and aquatic life.
