Nanobubbles are extremely fine gas bubbles, smaller than 200 nanometers in diameter, behave differently from conventional bubbles. Unlike regular bubbles that quickly rise and burst at the surface, nanobubbles remain suspended in water for a long time, creating a stable and uniform distribution of gas throughout the liquid.

 

Because of their tiny size, nanobubbles have a very high surface area and internal pressure. This allows them to transfer gases like oxygen much more efficiently into water compared to conventional aeration methods. As a result, the oxygen stays dissolved longer and is available where it is actually needed — whether in biological treatment processes, aquaculture systems, or industrial applications.
